About Bronchoconstriction
Bronchoconstriction is caused by involuntary constriction of bronchial smooth muscle surrounding the airways. When an attack occurs, the muscles surrounding the airways become tight and the lining of the air passages swells. This reduces the amount of air that can pass into your lungs.
Rescue drugs work fast to control your bronchoconstriction attacks; however, sometimes your symptoms may not improve without taking more medication than recommended, or get worse and you may need to seek immediate medical treatment.
The AlphaCore provides relief from bronchoconstriction
The AlphaCore is a non-invasive, non-drug therapy that reduces the symptoms associated with a severe bronchoconstriction when your standard medications provide insufficient relief.
How it Works
The AlphaCore produces a brief electric stimulation that is transmitted through the skin to the vagus nerve on the right side of the neck. The vagus nerve carries this signal to the central nervous system, which then causes the body to relax the bronchial wall muscles.
Features and Benefits
• Safe, non-invasive, non-drug therapy
• Easy to use
• Hand-held & portable
